Community Collaborations

TBHLT Access to Care Committee
Alliance, Cooperation, Relationships, Teamwork, Group Effort, Partnership

CFGC believes in extending our reach with every opportunity we get to build strong collaborations and capacity. We are proud of the relationships we share with so many community leaders and organizations working together to advance the mental health and well being of our Texoma neighbors.

United Way of Grayson County

The Child & Family Guidance Center is proud to partner with United Way of Grayson County. Together, we are addressing the mental health needs of hurting, impoverished children and families in Grayson county. United Way of Grayson County has supported services at CFGC since 1968, when United Way was called the "Community Chest". Our history is long and our partnership is strong! Live United!

Texoma Behavioral Health Leadership Team

The Texoma Behavioral Leadership Team (TBHLT) serves as the community's hub for mental health and wellness. Their vision is to improve the behavioral health and well-being for all people in the Texoma community. CFGC is a proud partner and advocate of TBHLT with leadership staff serving on the board, executive council and chairing committees. To learn about TBHLT, click here.

Access to Care Committee

ATC is a subcommittee of the TBHLT chaired by CFGC's executive director. The focus is to improve access to mental health care for Texoma residents experiencing poverty, trauma, serious mental illness and victimization, as well as helping veterans navigate care.

Texoma Mental Health Provider Network

This excellent resource was created from the TBHLT Access to Care Committee in 2017. Consensus was that local mental health providers could benefit from meeting regularly to network, learn about each other's specialties, and receive CEUs. Committee members Tiffany Dancer, LPC, Dr. Stephanie Waitt, LPC, and Bill Mory, LPC, LMFT met to create a group that could help grow collaboration and partnerships among the providers of Texoma, thus the Texoma Mental Health Professionals Network was born. The network is free to licensed providers. To learn more about TMHPN and meetings, contact our Clinical Director, Tiffany Dancer by clicking here.

Okay to Say

CFGC is a proud member of the Okay to Say movement. Okay to Say™ is a community-based movement initiated by the Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute to increase public awareness about mental health issues in Texas, dispel biases and stereotypes, and break down cultural barriers surrounding mental illness in Texas and beyond.  To become a member, click here.

Here for Texas

CFGC is a proud advocate of the Here for Texas website. It is a one-stop mental health information site, connecting Texans to information and resources for mental health and addiction. CFGC worked diligently in the summer of 2018 to build the site in the Texoma region hiring part time staff to connect with providers encouraging them to join the site. It is free to providers and folks searching for help.
