Understanding Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity/Expression

Friday, June 25, 2021
12:00 pm1:00 pm

In this training, professionals will be given the opportunity to explore the constructs of gender in our society. Understanding the differences in gender identity vs. gender expression makes for more informed care for clients seeking mental health treatment. Also, professionals will learn the role that sexual and romantic attraction plays in sexual orientation identities. Utilizing the information gained about gender identity/expression and sexual orientation, professionals can feel better prepared when working with all ages of LGBT+ clients.
One free CE will be awarded to attendees who are licensed in Texas. The training will be available for on-demand viewing afterward. Registration is required to attend the live presentation or to view the webinar on-demand.
